I was sad to hear that my gran had passed away on Thursday after recently moving into a new flat. I knew she was ill but hoped i'd get to see her more. It made me think of all the times we'd shared, her last holiday to Great Yarmouth a few years ago, staying over when I was at school, going up to cut the grass and tidy the garden for her, taking Angus for a walk, all the usual stuff. But then I remembered how she let me set up a dark room in her shed, my first art studio which was a revelation, a space to work, to relax and to formulate ideas. She was a really special lady to all my family and we will all miss her very much. xXx
