Weekend Warriors, Monday Blues # 2!

After 2 years of Covid and lock downs it feels like this Spring is a turning point as we fully transition back to 'normal' life, and that normality includes  the complete fuckery from our elected leaders as #partygate Boris holds onto power by a thread, propped up by a bunch of spineless swines while Culture Secretary Nadine Dorries makes a complete fool of herself on the down stream.

So it seems fitting to see these posters appearing around the town along with artworks from PurshOne and Dave E. From all seeing eyes on Union Street to abstract graffiti at the studio, the weekend provided some much needed respite from weekly grind and with average temperatures hitting 10* C it felt like spring had sprung. Thinking about spring the cross pollination of ideas, perhaps these artworks are the result of seeds planted by artists of old who aren't afraid to step out of their comfort zones and are willing to stick two fingers up at those in power.

Or maybe its just bored middle aged men with too much time on their hands. Either way I'm glad of my friends and glad for weekends like this. Hopefully more of these seeds will be germinating in the coming the months!
